"Water Hygiene Ireland provide a clear and concise appreciation of legionella risk within your premises"
Inadequately maintained and monitored water storage and distribution pipework systems can be a hazard to health. Under the correct conditions, the presence of sediment, sludge, scale and organic materials within a storage vessel and/or distribution pipework system are a breeding ground for bacteria, in particular, legionella pneumophila.
Water Hygiene Ireland (WHI) can establish a comprehensive Water Management System to ensure safe practice and full compliance to current HPSC guidelines. View the current guidelines here.
Experience to depend on
The staff at WHI have over 20 years experience in the water hygiene industry, members of The Water Management Society and any Engineer assigned to your project will be City & Guilds qualified in " Legionellosis - Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment of Water Systems within Buildings."
Independent Consultancy
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre's "National Guidelines for the Control of Legionellosis in Ireland, 2009" states:
4.2.1 In order to prevent any conflict of interest, it is recommended that ideally, those appointed to carry out the risk assessment are independent of those appointed to implement the control measures and remedial actions, including water treatment and cleaning and disinfection.
By utilising our independent services, the client can be extremely confident that the recommendations, procedures and processes introduced will be completely unbiased and focused on the client's essential needs.
This transparency in service will offer any organisation or responsible person a level of reduced exposure to risks of litigation regarding legionella.
